Dr. George Kornfeld is an optometrist who has been serving low-vision patients for over 50 years. Dr. Kornfeld played an instrumental role in establishing The Lighthouse, a low vision clinic in Haifa, Israel and also at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. With a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Kornfeld is devoted to using his vast knowledge and expertise to improve the lives of low-vision patients. Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Low Vision Section, and a fellow of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists (IALVS), he has significantly contributed to the field of low vision.
Dr. Kornfeld understands the struggles faced by low-vision patients and uses his qualifications and experience to help patients fight these struggles every day. Dr. Kornfeld stands out in his practice because he listens to his patients and understands their lifestyle requirements to prescribe visual aids and the most suitable treatments for their condition.
